The Acton Public Library in partnership with York Adult Education presents “Adulting: Life Skills Seminars,” a program for teens and young adults in our community being offered regularly throughout the year. The topic of this seminar is Basic Hand Mending and will be taught by Joyce Hurd, who has been sewing for over 50 years and made costumes for both Gorham and Sanford High Schools. The topics covered will be:
Sew on a button

Mend a seam
Put on decorative patches.
The Basic Hand Mending Seminar will be held on Saturday, March 20th from 10-11:30 AM at the Acton Public Library free of charge, both virtually and in-person. Participants will be asked to wear a mask and will be social distanced because this space is limited. Sign-up here.
