Computers & Wi-Fi

The library has two desk-top computers with access to the internet and a printer. Black & white printing is $.25 per page.

Our WI FI capability allows for Internet browsing inside and outside the building 24/7.  No password required.

Library Cards

Library cards are free. Please bring your driver’s license. Children as young as 3 years old may get their own card.

It's the perfect time to snuggle up with a good book!  Now you can access the Portland Public Library's digital catalog without leaving your home.  As an Acton resident, you are eligible for a PPL card - call the APL for information.  Then click on https://www.portlandlibrary.com/highlight/ebooks/ to learn how to download books directly to your iPhone/iPad, Kindle, or Android - and there are never any late fees!

If we do not have the material you are looking for, we interlibrary-loan with the following local libraries:

Photocopies, Faxes & Laminating

The library now offers laminating for $1 per item. Copying and printing are $.25 per black & white page. Faxing is FREE for the 1st ten pages. Both laminating and printing are limited to 8.5x11 or smaller.

Suggest a Title

The Acton Public Library welcomes purchase suggestions from library users. While we may not be able to acquire everything that is suggested, your suggestion will receive serious consideration. The factors we consider when deciding whether to buy items our users recommend include our collection development goals, whether the item is available through inter-library loan, its cost, our budget, and whether or not the item is still available for purchase.
Check the Library Catalog to see if the Library owns the item before submitting your request. Email the library with your purchase request.
